What to try first

The viewfinder is dark, or the film has no sound
Dailies needs the camera to keep the seconds before each photo, and the microphone to keep their sound. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, find Dailies, and check that both Camera and Microphone are on. iOS asks only once, so if you said no the first time, this is the only place to change it.
Prints are blank, or a day shows fewer photos than you took
Dailies saves photos to your library and reads them back to show them. In the Settings app, under Dailies, set Photos to Full Access. With Limited Access, Dailies can only show the photos you have let it see.
Where films and photos are saved
In Photos, like any camera. When you complete a day, the film and that day's photos go into an album named after the day. The film is also kept inside the app so it can be watched there.
Where the lead-ups go
The seconds before each photo stay inside the app until you complete the day. Completing it makes the film and then either deletes the lead-up video or, if you chose Keep them, holds it for 7 days so the film can be remade.
Battery and storage
Dailies keeps its rolling few seconds only while the viewfinder is open, so it uses the camera the way any camera app does and nothing runs in the background. Each lead-up is a small clip. Completing the day makes the film and then deletes the lead-ups, unless you chose to keep them for 7 days. Each day's meta line shows how much space its lead-ups are taking.
Leaving a photo out of the film
Open the day and tap a print to watch its moment. Delete moment removes it from the day, and from the film, before you complete it. The photo itself stays in your library.
Reminders
Dailies sends at most one reminder per day, in the evening, if a day with photos is still open. It is optional. Turn it on or off in the app under Settings, Reminders, or in the iPhone's Settings under Dailies, Notifications.
Requirements
iPhone, iOS 17 or later. Volume buttons and Camera Control work as the shutter. On iOS 18, a Dailies control can go on the Lock Screen, in Control Center, or on the Action button.

What Dailies does not do

There is no account to make and no cloud to sign in to. Dailies has no server. Your photos, lead-ups and films stay on your phone and in your Photos library, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you share it yourself. Dailies keeps video from before the shutter only; it does not record after a photo is taken. There is no record button, because you never press one.

Deleting Dailies

Deleting the app deletes its copy of every lead-up and film. Photos and films already saved to your Photos library stay there.
