Privacy
Dailies has no server, no account, no analytics and no third-party code. Everything it makes stays on your phone and in your photo library. This page is short because that is the whole of it.
Dailies is published by Tay Boy Interactive LLC. This policy covers the Dailies app on every platform it is published for. Last updated October 1, 2026.
What Dailies asks for, and why
- Camera
- Dailies keeps the few seconds before each photo. While the viewfinder is open it holds a short, rolling stretch of video in memory, and when you take a photo it keeps the stretch that led up to it. Nothing is kept from after the photo.
- Microphone
- Dailies records the sound of the moment before each photo, so each lead-up has its own sound. The microphone is used only while the viewfinder is open.
- Photo library
- Dailies saves your photos and films to your library, and shows your photos from each day and builds the film's album. It reads only to display your own photos and to put them in that album.
- Notifications
- Optional. One reminder to complete a day that still has photos waiting. You are asked only when such a day exists, and you can change your mind in the app under Settings, Reminders.
Dailies does not ask for your location, contacts or anything else.
Where your things are kept
- Photos are saved to your Photos library the moment you take them, like any camera.
- The lead-up video for each photo is kept in the app's own storage on your phone. When you complete a day it is used to make the film and then deleted, or held for 7 days if you choose Keep them.
- Films are saved to Photos, in an album named after the day, and a copy is kept in the app's storage so they can be watched there.
- Deleting the app deletes everything in the app's storage. What is already in Photos stays in Photos.
Dailies sends nothing anywhere. Your iPhone's own backup, whether to iCloud or a computer, may include the app's storage, as it does for any app, and iCloud Photos syncs your library according to your own settings. Both are Apple's and under your control.
What Dailies collects
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting by us, no advertising and no third-party code of any kind in the app. We cannot see your photos, your films or how you use Dailies.
